Websters Multimedia Inc. is a wholly owned US subsidiary of
Websters International Publishers Ltd, an independent company specializing
in content creation, production, and localization for online and print media.
The company also provides consultancy, project management, production, and
editorial services to local and international publishing and software industries.
Based in Bellevue, Washington, Websters Multimedia was set up in July 2006,
principally as a North American content provider for the requirements of
Microsoft's Education Products Group. These requirements include maintaining
"traditional" manufactured products, such as the CD/DVD editions of Microsoft Encarta
Reference Suite and Microsoft Student, as well as developing
various online education properties. The Websters team is also instrumental in
compiling data for the popular Instant Answers feature developed for MSN
Search.
The majority of our editorial team have worked in house for Microsoft as either
staff or contractors, and several also have substantial experience of working
on other major projects for organizations such as World Book and Encyclopedia
Britannica. Our strategic mission is to provide organizations and publishers
with top-quality, age-appropriate content tailored to reference and educational
needs.
Websters Multimedia Inc. can provide a complete service from consultancy to
content delivery and, via its international parent company, a convenient and
cost-effective route for content and software localization into many languages.
